Idiosyncrosanct holds a stockpile of potent, varied, and challenging songs. The first new You Shriek music in a decade, it's a true solo passion project—an unmistakable indie aesthetic beneath the trappings of a classic alternative major-label effort. An exquisite orchestra of postmodern rock instruments, crash landing somewhere between new wave melodic and goth-somber, awash in sparkling guitars, lavish synths, and cresting echoes, willingly under the influence of classic left-side -of-the-dial alternatives.

Idiosyncrosanct was written and recorded by Raziel Panic

Except the tracks “Frail Time”, “I Turn Cold”, and “Pillory Box”, on which drums were performed and recorded by Eric Beam. Those were subsequently edited by Raziel, but we should probably release Eric’s original drum parts as-delivered — they are truly massive, and changed the course of each of those songs with their gravity.

Awarding Juan Ramón Espinosa some kind of “virtual featured performer” credit for sustained influence alone, but also for literally taking over the screen controls on more than a couple of remote writing and mixing sessions to make a point, and to make it better. Thanks aren’t quite enough for that kind of professional camaraderie and friendship.

The fact that you’re hearing the record now, rather than “someday” is in no small part down to Scott Crawford’s seasoned words of encouragement and advice. He put in more time and opinion than I can calculate, coaxing me to compete and release the record, and I’m forever grateful for his effort and insight.

Marlkelford Friedman: play-tester-in-chief and generous guide out of so, so many weeds. Zoog Von Rock and the whole crew at AOR: Creative spirit, determination, sanctuary. This is a triumph! So hard to pick just one track when each song is better than the last. Klack has really just got a great sound that can be successfully remixed into just about anything. Personally I think the first 6 tracks are perfect Ned Michaels
